I have a new etsy shop in my favorites

Mariaspieces.etsy.com

This etsy seller makes the cutest paper embellishments. I've picked my two favorites to show here but I suggest you looking at her whole store. I would buy her out if I could.

Now, as far as my own crafting I got myself into an organizing rut. My paper filing system was falling apart. I had purchased cheap 12x12 drawers at Target a few years back and could barely open the drawers anymore. Made looking for paper too much of a challenge. Joann's has their storage units on sale so I purchased the sterilite 12x12 3 drawer sets and 3 sets stacked ended up fitting PERFECTLY under my desk area. I spent a couple hours last night sorting my paper into similar stacks. Tonight I will play with the label maker so I can remember what is in each drawer. I'm hoping after my paper is all happily organized that I can sit down and make a scrapbook page.

I suppose I should start posting pictures of my own stuff huh?

Missed a day

I was to busy playing with my new toy last night (the cricut create) to take a minute to write anything. Since I know I will be playing with it tonight I was poking around online to find some ideas. I found a blog I love.

and from this blog I found these great ideas to work with:
If something turns out I promise to post photos :)

I wish I could make these

But I have no idea how to start...

and I believe I would need a sewing machine. Oh how I wish I had a sewing machine.

Anyways, I keep seeing these types of fabric pieced flowers and love the look of them on cards, scrapbooks pages and much more. I also can't find anyone on etsy who makes them or I would be buying some in a heartbeat.

Oh a happy personal note, the car is fixed. Apparently I was driving around with a completely shredded belt in tow. Said belt was supposed to make the alternater work, which would keep the battery charged. That explained the total system failure I experience yesterday morning. Thank God for good friends who can come and work on my car.

WANT TO MAKE

I just stumbled across this on the Making Memories website. I have the same paper pad at home and I think I just might need to make this tonight.

Scrapbooking layouts make me drool

Browsing through some of my favorite blogs landed me on this wonderful layout. The flowers caught my eye and I am going to try my best to recreate them.

On a personal note I woke up to a broken car. I barely made it to work and my mechanic friend laughed at me because the problem was a completely shredded belt that a drug on the ground....probably the whole way to work. Scrapbooking budget for this month has gone to car repair. I guess I will be digging out the old stuff and trying to use it up :)

Cricut

Today I was home sick with a little stomach bug or sorts. That left me with way to much time to play on ebay and I ending up buying myself a cricut. Now I'm stuck cause I really want to go scrapbook but then I really want to wait until the cricut comes so I can use it with my page.

I also found a great card that caught my attention on etsy. It's perfect for Valentine's day and I love that the seller used button's to create. I'm a huge fan of buttons.

Seller for this card is www.cozyshoppe.etsy.com

Valentine's Gift

For Valentine's Day I found a seller on etsy (www.shelleyroze.etsy.com) who makes these beautifully hand painted sweetheart trees. I couldn't wait for the package of my custom piece to arrive and when I did I was so happy. The coloring was beautiful and the piece looks so great.

First "real" Etsy Sale

FINALLY. I joined the etsy team a little over 6 months ago and aside from an excited co-worker buying my entire stock on my first day I haven't made any sales. I was feeling kinda bummed about it yesterday and then got a message that 4 of my cards sold. Two of them were my favorites. So they won't be forgotten here they are for all to see. I'm gonna miss the red bird.

And just because she made me so happy, I want to share her adorable owl themed shop and of course my favorite item from it.

First Post and Scrolls

I enjoy looking at other blogs and finding interesting, creative, amazing or just plain odd things. So I decided I would start my blog with my latest favorite find.

Scrolls. A poster on etsy caught my eye and I cannot stop looking at her shop. She is a graphic designer who designs all of her items herself. I am just in awe. Take a minute to visit her blog http://niklin1225.blogspot.com/ or her etsy shop http://www.niklindesigns1225.etsy.com/

Enjoy! I can't wait to finally narrow down my top 100 choices and purchase a few for my own scrapbooking.
