Cranapple Cobbler. yummy!

You all know by now I love my craft and my furbabies, but I bet you didn't know I love to bake.  Every year around this time my husband starts bugging me to make this particular dessert.    I caved yesterday and decided I bake it just for him (and the rest of our bible study group).    Took that opportunity to photograph the results and share the recipe to all of you.

This recipe is for a 9x9 dish, you will notice my photos are of a 9x13.   I don't have a recipe for a 9x13, I just add extra of everything until it looks right.   So if you are a recipe follower, use the 9x9 pan :)

Cranapple Cobbler

ingredents:
1 large granny smith apple
1 bag of cranberries (or about 3/4 lb of fresh)
1/4 c orange juice
1 c flour
1 3/4 c brown sugar (no one said this was a healthy dish)
1 1/2 c oatmeal, not quick bake
2 sticks butter

peel apple and slice very thin.
mix apple slices with cranberries in a bowl along with 1/2 cup of the brown sugar and all the orange juice.
pour into a greased 9x9 pan

in another bowl combine flour, remaing brown sugar (1 and 1/4 c), butter and oatmeal.   cut together until it is a lumpy mess. sprinkle on top of the fruit mixture.

bake at 350 for 30-40 minutes or until the top is golden and the fruit is just bubbling out.

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream for extra yumminess.

and don't forget to enter the teamcac giveaway if you haven't already.   TONS of awesome things waiting to be won!.   See the post right under this one for details.
